lo res life

in my pocket, at my disposal - a little camera. it started as a high priced lo-fi palm treo and then a blackberry, update each year - the phone company loved selling them. each year a little bit better but never that great. some moments were just happening, it’s all you had. The ideas were low rent, fleeting and funny, non sensical - maybe; a memory you thought you needed to have. throw aways really. in a rush to never forget, we took them in passing and there they sat in their little tiny memory cards. like those stacks of point and shoots you remember you parents taking and keeping in a box. little treasures that needed to be remembered but never composed enough to be thought of. never ready. caught. blurry. at my disposal for disposal. maybe it’s the state of all things, doomed to forget, lack of depth and digital edges in first generation technology.

a selection of happenings from 2005 - 2012. before the advent of iPhones and their famed cameras.
